What data does DoubleAgent store?

Initally DoubleAgent did not store any of your FreeAgent data, to minimise the risk of data leaks. Instead, every time you loaded a page in DoubleAgent it would connect to FreeAgent to get all the data it needed before it could do anything. Unfortunately this made DoubleAgent painfully slow to use – there was a noticeable lag before every page and DoubleAgent kept bumping into FreeAgent's rate limits.

So DoubleAgent started to cache the data it read from FreeAgent to avoid, for example, having to pull all your contacts from FreeAgent every single time you open an explanation rule page.

DoubleAgent stores the minimum amount of FreeAgent data it needs to implement its features.

This means that some of your FreeAgent data is also stored in DoubleAgent. Keeping that data, including my own data, safe and sound is of course my first priority.

Every DoubleAgent customer has to weigh the productivity gain of DoubleAgent against the privacy risk of some of your data being outside FreeAgent. To help you decide, here is a list of all the FreeAgent data DoubleAgent stores:
