A Stripe payout comprises one or more balance transactions. DoubleAgent explains the following types:

| Climate contribution | Funds contributed via Stripe to Stripe Climate |
| Payout | Payouts (automatic or manual) from your Stripe balance to your bank account |
| Stripe fee | Fees for Stripe software and services, e.g. Connect, Billing, etc. |
| Application fee (earned) | Earnings you've generated by collecting platform fees via Stripe Connect charges |
| Application fee refunded | Platform fees that you have returned to your connected accounts |
| Advance | Pending funds sent to you in an instant payout |
| Advance funding | Deduction from available funds to balance an earlier advance |
